NATIONAL PARK + GLACIER

OPTION Nº 2
NATIONAL PARK EXCURSION + GLACIER ( 5 1/2 HOURS )
This beautiful place is located very close to the port.
In the way to the park we will drive through the city. After arriving to the park we proceed to stop at Ensenada Bay where the end of the world post office is. Over there  tourists have the chance to stamp their passports as a souvenir.
Then we head towards  Roca Lake, where guests can take a peaceful and lovely    walking surrounding part of the lake, taking magnificent photos, arriving after a couple of minutes to a coffee shop where you will be able to purchase hot chocolate and/or snacks while enjoying of a panoramic view of the mountains, forest and rivers( it is recommended to take USD 20 per person for having a snack at this stopped ).
Finally we drive to the end of Panamerican highway where there is a famous sign that has the distances from Alaska up to there.
In the way back from the National Park we ride along a road that will take us to a chairlift which is in the middle of the mountain.
After getting off the chair lift we hike about 20 minutes to enjoy the nature, the pure air and taking wonderful picures of Le Martial Glacier which can be seen above us. We will be at 700 mts above sea level.
From that point  there is an amazing view of the Beagle Channel and the city.
The round trip in the National Park is 4 hours long and the round trip (chair lift + the walking in the mountain) is about 1 hour and a half long.
For those who do not want to walk, there is the option to stay at the view point taking pictures while the rest of the group come back from the 20 minutes walking in the mountain.
(As part of the service we provide you with one bottle of water per person)

  1. We had a wonderful tour with one of Edgardo Calaio's group of tour guides December 28, 2012 in Ushuaia Argentina.
“We were a group of 14 from the Star Princess. Our guide had a well prepared speech. He passed around items/pictures during the bus ride. The small bus was very comfortable with an aisle down the middle of the bus for easy ingress and egress. Any walking we did I would rate as easy. The National Park is a must to see. Even though we were there on a rainy day it is a beautiful park.
I would definitely recommend Edgar guides.”

  2. We used Edgardo Calaio and a team of tour guides who work for him. The tour was excellent, the guides were highly professional with a great knowledge of the area. They told us about history, geology, flora, fauna. One of the highlights was to see that the drivers were always avoiding the big buses in order wherever we stopped, we were alone and so it was possible to walk and take pictures without anybody crossing in front of our cameras
